On April 13th, the CUA Law Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter participated in its second build of the school year. CUA Law students: Gillian Tishuk (3L), Kate Almen (2L), Casey Hughes (2L), Brittany McNurlin (1L), and Willie Burden Jr. (1L), arrived at the build site around 8:15 a.m. and finished their day around 3:30 p.m. The CUA Law students were joined by fellow CUA undergraduate students as well as community volunteers. The groups worked together on various projects, which included constructing a fence, building a deck, and completing yard work.
When asked about the project, Casey Hughes said, "I didn't realize until we pulled up to the build site that it was the same property we had worked on last September-it was inspiring to see the great progress that had been made since then and exciting to help with the finishing stages of the process! We each left the build with fuller hearts and felt thankful we were able to contribute a few hours to the incredible work Habitat for Humanity engages in on a daily basis."
