CUA Law Professor Beverly Petersen Jennison has been nominated for appointment to the Board of Social Services for the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services. See below.

Professor Beverly Petersen Jennison has been nominated for appointment to the Board of Social Services for the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services by Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett. The Board of Social Services advises County and State health and human services officials on matters relating to local social services programs.

The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services is the largest in County government and is responsible for public health and human services that help address the needs of Montgomery County's most vulnerable children, adults and seniors. The mission of the Department of Health and Human Services is to promote and ensure the health and safety of the residents of Montgomery County and to build individual and family strength and self-sufficiency. The Montgomery County Council will consider the nomination at its meeting scheduled for July 28, 2015, and once confirmed, Professor Jennison will assume the position of Public Representative on the Board.
