The CUA Law School community took a pause in their day for a few minutes to share in the lighting of the Columbus School of Law's Christmas tree in the building's atrium on November 30.
CUA Law Dean Daniel F. Attridge offered brief remarks, urging students to take a breather from the work of Law School to reflect upon the blessings of love, community, family, and friendship during the time of Advent. Dean Attridge made a point of congratulating first-year students who have nearly completed their first semester of Law School. He also noted the retirement of last year's Christmas tree, which had served CUA Law for 17 years.
The Dean the introduced Rev. Jude DeAngelo, O.F.M. to offer a prayer and blessing. After the blessing, the Dean lit the tree. The Law School's Christmas tree was illuminated once again by Dean Attridge.
It will remain lit though the end of the academic semester. After the ceremony students were invited to a reception where they mingled with faculty and staff.
