On February 27, 2018, the CUA Law Office of Development & Alumni Relations held a networking event at the Westin Georgetown for Washington, D.C., area alumni and students, who have been admitted to CUA Law for entry in fall 2018. The event was hosted by Karen L. Grubber '92, Vice President & Assistant General Counsel, Host Hotels & Resorts L.P. and CUA Law Board of Visitors member.

The evening opened with a networking session and then moved into the ballroom. Dean Daniel F. Attridge welcomed the attendees and introduced Professor Cara Drinan. Drinan was on hand to discuss her new book, The War on Kids, as well as the general state of the criminal justice system. After her presentation, Drinan took questions from the audience.

The evening concluded with a chance for attendees to purchase a copy of The War on Kids, to continue their conversation with Professor Drinan, and to connect with other attendees.
