Urban will be working as a law clerk for the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance. Specifically, she will be working with the International Trade team. Her duties will include legislative research, cross-checking statutes and regulations, writing inter-office memoranda to the attorneys, and attending hearings on issues concerning international trade.
Reaction from Urban: "As a fellow, I will have many opportunities to advance my professional goals of working with economic policy. For example, the Squire Patton Boggs Public Policy Foundation host speaking events for the fellows throughout the summer on current public policy concerns, such as the U.S.-Transatlantic relationship. Further, as part of their mentoring program, I will be assigned a lawyer from their Washington D.C. office who will help guide me during my time as a fellow and offer me career advice to further my public policy career goals.
I am very excited to grow my professional network with so many incredible lawyers who are dedicated to public policy and service. I am very grateful for the opportunity to work with both the Squire Patton Boggs Foundation, as well as the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance," Urban said.
