A group of alumni from the Class of 1983 gathered at The University Club of Washington, D.C., prior to joining other 2018 CUA Law Reunion Weekend celebrants at the Occidental on October 19. The event was hosted by Douglas Bonner '83, Partner, Potomac Law Group, and member of the CUA Law Board of Visitors, and sponsored by the Class of 1983 Reunion Committee. The purpose of the gathering was to acknowledge those that have helped support and grow the Res Judicata Scholarship Fund, as well as to raise awareness of the goal to double the funds available for scholarships within the Fund. The Res Judicata Scholarship Fund was created and financed by the Class of 1983 in an effort to support student scholarships at the Columbus School of Law, and it is now a fully endowed scholarship.

The event was also a chance for the Class to meet Dean Regina Jefferson prior to the Kick-Off Celebration, as well as to connect with each other. Douglas Bonner spoke at the event to welcome the attendees and to acknowledge CUA Law and faculty members like Professor Emeritus Harvey Zuckman, who was also in attendance, for making a difference in their lives.
