On October 25, 2018, the United States Navy-Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals and the Military and National Security Law Students Association presented oral arguments in the case of United States v. Jennings held in the Slowinski Courtroom.

MNSLA Military Chair Caitlin McClay (3L) provided an introduction, and Chief Judge, Col K. Scott Woodard, USMC provided opening remarks regarding the structure of the appellate oral arguments. Appellate counsel from the U.S. Navy-Marine Corps' Appellate Defense Division argued on behalf of the appellant and the government. The defense presented their argument first, and each side was allotted thirty minutes for argument.

Appellate judges included Captain Frank Hutchison '03, Commander Angela Tang, and Commander Michael Lawrence. Counsel for the appellant included Captain Andrew House and Lieutenant Daniel Rosinski. Counsel for the government included Colonel Mark Jamison and Lieutenant Clayton McCarl.

After the oral arguments, students had the opportunity to ask the judges and attorneys questions. Students then attended a reception where they met with the judges, appellate attorneys, law clerks, and JAG recruiters.
