As Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Everybody can be great because anybody can serve […]”
On January 20, the students, faculty, and staff of Catholic Law worked to honor those words—collaborating with Campus Ministry to serve the needs of communities in Brookland and the surround Washington, D.C., area as part of the University’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. Catholic Law students joined together in the Edward J. Pryzbyla Center and packaged over 500 boxed lunches that went to local charities in need.
Of the experience, Nneka Maceo [3L] shared, “My experience at service day was extremely humbling, this day once again allowed me to understand the importance of service in reflection of Dr. King, and the loving and unceasing impact he has had on this country and humanity.”
