At the invitation of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Catholic Law Professor Elizabeth Winston spoke at the Virtual Roundtable Series for the Judiciary on Intellectual Property Issues and Case Management. The event, which holds daily sessions from November 30 through December 16, 2020, was organized by USPTO Global Intellectual Property Academy and the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Winston was a panelist on the December 2 panel, “Roundtable on IP Issues and Legal Trends” where she spoke about intangible technology, cross-border data flow, and intellectual property law to judges from Southeast Asia and the South Pacific. There were over 100 registered participants for the event, including judges from Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
