National Labor Relations Board
Contempt, Compliance, and Special Litigation Branch
SPIL Stipend, Summer 2020

In Summer 2020, I interned with the National Labor Relations Board in their Contempt, Compliance, and Special Litigation Branch working to ensure compliance in board decisions under the National Labor Relations Act. Although the experience was remote, I learned a lot about administrative agency functions and labor law through my work on several unfair labor practice cases and writing internal agency memorandum. My work directly impacted and helped better labor relations for employees and employers. I was very grateful for this opportunity as well as the Students for Public Interest Law (SPIL) Stipend that made it possible for me to pursue this opportunity. The SPIL Stipend lifted a financial burden this summer, allowing me to focus on my work with the agency and my schooling rather than financial insecurity. With the Stipend, I was able to make the most out of my internship.
