Professor Emerita Leah Wortham along with Fryderyk Zoll, Professor of Law at Jagiellonian University, co-authored a chapter, “Weaponizing Judicial Discipline: Poland,” in the newly released textbook, Disciplining Judges: Contemporary Challenges and Controversies.
Through the use of a Polish case study, the chapter illustrates how a government exploited vulnerabilities in an existing judicial discipline structure and characterized the exploitation as lawful, neutral, and in the public interest. Wortham and Zoll’s chapter is one of 14 in the book, with contributions coming from almost as many different countries. The book is published by the well-respected academic publishing house, Edward Elgar.
