The Catholic Law community took a pause in their day for a few minutes to share in the lighting of the Columbus School of Law's Christmas tree in the building's atrium on November 29. Dean Stephen C. Payne welcomed those in attendance and introduced Rev. Hugh Vincent Dyer, O.P., to offer a prayer and blessing. Following the lighting of the tree, students were invited to a reception where they mingled with faculty and staff.
This year the law school's Giving Tree has been relocated next to the Christmas tree in the atrium. The Giving Tree supports gifts for children aged 2-16 through Little Friends for Peace. Students, faculty, and staff who wish to participate should select an item to purchase from the tree and bring it to the law school's Student Life Office. The Evening Law Students Association will gift wrap everything before the gifts are delivered to the organization.
