On June 21, 2022, the Philadelphia Bar Association spent an evening “Celebrating Inspirational Trailblazers.” As part of ​​the Summer Quarterly Meeting, held at the Franklin Institute, attendees heard from inspiring panelists who exemplify career excellence, commitment to social justice, scholarship, and superb legal advocacy. The event also honored several annual award recipients including Catholic Law alumna Roberta “Bobbi” Liebenberg ’75 who was presented with the 2022 Justice Sonia Sotomayor Award.

The Justice Sonia Sotomayor Award recognizes an individual attorney, jurist, law firm, corporate legal department, or other organization, that has made substantial and lasting contributions to the Association's goal of promoting full and equal participation and inclusion by all attorneys in Philadelphia's legal community.
