Catholic Law alumnus George E. Simms III ’82, Assistant State’s Attorney and Chief of the Community Outreach Team for the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office (SAO), was recognized by the SAO as the inaugural recipient of an award that will bare his name — The George Simms Award. The award recognizes Simms’ outstanding leadership and contributions to the community. Moving forward, the award will be given out annually to a member of the SAO who exhibits excellence in community outreach and engagement.
