After closing out Season 38 of Jeopardy! with his first win, Catholic Law alumnus T. Luis “Luigi” de Guzman ’10 returned to the game show on Monday, September 12, to kick off Season 39. De Guzman became a five-day champion before being beaten out by Emmet Stanton on September 16. In de Guzman’s final appearance, the game came down to the final jeopardy question with both de Guzman and Stanton giving the correct answer, but Stanton gambling with a larger bet. During his six Jeopardy! appearances, de Guzman wore striped ties including a red and black striped one on day three, paying homage to the Law School.
At Catholic Law, de Guzman was a dedicated student, an associate editor for the Catholic University Law Review, and served as an intern for Anh Joseph Cao in the U.S. House of Representatives. De Guzman is a regulatory attorney in the Washington, D.C.-area.
