On April 19, 2023, Catholic Law’s Professor Emerita Lisa G. Lerman received the Sanford D. Levy Professional Ethics Award from the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Professional Ethics at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York City. Lerman, a professional responsibility and family law expert who began teaching at Catholic Law in 1987, is the coauthor of Ethical Problems in the Practice of Law, the bestselling textbook addressing professional responsibility. The Sanford D. Levy Professional Ethics Award which she received recognizes individuals or institutions that have made massive contributions toward the betterment of professional ethics.
