Jennifer Tschirch

CUA Law's Jennifer Tschirch, Pro Bono Coordinator, has been recognized by the Washington Council of Lawyers for her extraordinary pro bono work and contributions to public service. As always, this year the council considered a variety of outstanding nominations and candidates for the 2015 Awards.

When asked about Tschirch, Sandy Ogilvy, Professor of Law and Director, Law & Social Justice Initiatives, said "Jen Tschirch is the heart and soul of pro bono at the law school. She tirelessly devotes herself to creating pro bono opportunities for all students wishing to participate. In addition, she counsels and provides hours of assistance to students seeking post-graduate fellowships doing public interest work. Since she assumed the position of Pro Bono Coordinator, she has increased, each year, the percentage of law students engaged in pro bono activities at CUA Law. Her recognition from the Washington Council of Lawyers demonstrates her reach beyond the law school and we salute and congratulate her for all that she does at the law school and beyond."
