President Obama recently nominated CUA Law graduate Judge Rainey Ransom Brandt '95 to serve on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

Judge Brandt has served as a Magistrate Judge in the Criminal Division of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia since 2013, where she is currently the trial team leader for her calendar assignment. Judge Brandt received her J.D. from The Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law in 1995. During her time at CUA Law, Judge Brandt served as the Chancellor of Moot Court.

"I am pleased to nominate Judge Rainey Ransom Brandt to serve on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia," said President Obama. "I am confident she will serve the District of Columbia with integrity and a steadfast commitment to justice."
