On March 27, 2019, CUA Law students dedicated their afternoon to assembling Fear 2 Freedom After Care Kits filled with clothes, toiletries, resource cards, "freedom bears," and personal notes for survivors of sexual assault. The Fear 2 Freedom Hour 2 Empower, hosted by the global non-profit Fear 2 Freedom, aims to bring awareness and education about sexual assault, child abuse, domestic violence and sex trafficking on college campuses. The foundation partners hospitals and community organizations with universities to provide F2F Aftercare Kits for victims in their community.
The event provided education and service as part of Fear 2 Freedom's mission to restore hope and dignity to survivors of sexual assault while empowering students. Jocelyn Harrison, Senior Director of Programs at Fear 2 Freedom, provided remarks, and Caitlin McClay (3L) organized the event with the assistance of other student organizations.
