Rising CUA Law 2L, Tianna Jenkins, is serving low-income Marylanders this summer as a law clerk intern in Maryland Legal Aid's Southern Maryland office. Maryland Legal Aid provides civil legal services to people facing issues including child custody, housing, public benefits, consumer law, and criminal record expungements to remove barriers to obtaining child custody, housing, and employment.

This summer, Tianna will be focusing on Child in Need of Assistance (CINA) cases, outreach initiatives for elderly people and high school students, as well as cases related to family law, housing, and public benefits. "I am so grateful for this opportunity. It's exciting to be able to use what I learned in the classroom in real life situations," she said.
