Catholic Law student poses as court reporter for photo shoot

In an attempt to highlight court reporting and captioning, and attract a new wave of students to the professions, the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) recently used the Walter A. Slowinski Courtroom at The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law for a photo shoot to update their marketing and promotional materials.

The shoot was held in the beautifully wood paneled courtroom, with six Catholic Law student volunteers playing the roles of court reporter, witness, attorney, judge, and jurors. The shoot was organized by Catholic Law Alumna Jocelynn Moore ’18 who now acts as the NCRA’s Director of State Government Relations. With the successful completion of the shoot, Moore hinted at potential future connections between the organization and Catholic Law’s mock trial program in the hopes of mimicking real courtroom experiences for law students.
