On December 5, 2019 Catholic Law alumni gathered in Miami, Florida to celebrate the Christmas season. Alumni hosts, Carl A. Fornaris '93, Michael Padula '99, and Board of Visitors members Jose A. Ortiz '99, Luis J. Perez '83, and James E. McDonald '69 welcomed a distinguished group of alumni including Judge Rico Sogocio '92 who is engaged in immigration cases.

The event marked an opportunity not only for alumni to come together and celebrate the holiday season, but also to meet Dean Stephen C. Payne, in his first year at Catholic Law. Dean Payne shared some of his credentials, commented on Catholic Law's position in the U.S. rankings, encouraged continued alumni participation in gift giving, and wished attendees a Merry Christmas.
