Last Spring, Catholic Law Student Brenda Keels (3L) received a Squire Patton Boggs Public Policy Fellowship in recognition of her commitment to public service and public policy and to support her work in that area. In the summer of 2020, between her 2L and 3L year, Keels interned at the Children's Law Center this summer in its Healthy Together/Guardian ad Litem Education Law division, where she focused on policy issues related to monitoring and advancing the educational rights of students who identify as minorities.
At the start of December, the Squire Patton Boggs Foundation released a video focusing on its 20th Anniversary and particularly the Fellowship Class of 2020. Keels was one of four students featured in the video, in which she shared more about her work at the Children’s Law Center.
