On October 28th and 29th, The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law (Catholic Law) hosted the National Italian American Bar Association’s (NIABA) annual meeting of its board of directors. Francis Donnarumma '78, serves as NIABA’s current president leading a board of 38 lawyers from across the United States, Canada, and Italy. Also attending the meeting were members of Catholic Law’s Italian American Law Students Association, including Michael Cozzi (3L) who serves as president of the student organization. The board meetings culminated over the weekend with the gala dinner of the National Italian American Foundation.
NIABA exists for the purpose of advancing the interests of the Italian-American legal community and to improve the administration of justice. The national organization provides space for its members – including judges, law professors, law students, private and public sector attorneys – to network professionally and fraternally and to celebrate the achievements and successes of its members.
