On January 25, Mary Graw Leary, Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, was on a distinguished international panel entitled From Local to Global: Best Practices in Fighting Modern Slavery. The panelists discussed modern slavery from a global, societal, and corporate social responsibility perspective.
Panelists included:
- Martijn Boersma, an Associate Professor at the University of Notre Dame Australia, where he teaches as part of the University’s postgraduate programs dedicated to combating modern slavery and human trafficking.
- Jenny Stanger, part of the Anti-slavery Taskforce, Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney (CAS) Member, Modern Slavery Expert Advisory Group, Australian Government Living and Working on Gadigal/Wangal Country.
- Franca Pellegrini, Director of Global Freedom Network at – Walk Free.
- Mary Graw Leary, Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor of Law at The Catholic University of America.
