Mary Graw Leary, senior associate dean for academic affairs at the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law, said the agreement is among the highest publicly known settlements in a civil sex trafficking case. She said it represents “a significant victory for survivors of sex trafficking and warning for those mainstream companies who create a public image of ignorance, but continue to profit from sex trafficking of the most vulnerable by looking the other way.”
