The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law (Catholic Law) in Washington, D.C., hosted Day Two of the Northeast Association of Pre-Law Advisors (NAPLA) on June 14, 2023. This year's NAPLA conference was entitled "Beyond 50: Pre-Law Advising in an Evolving World" and was hosted at six of the law schools in the Washington, D.C., area.
Day Two kicked-off with a welcome from Professor Mary Graw Leary, Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, and a breakfast, which was followed by various concurrent sessions: A Decade of Data: What Have We Learned About Legal Education Since 2010?; Demystifying the Law School Application Process for First-Generation Students; "Why Law?": How Reflection Can Promote Students' Professional Development & Well-Being; and Best Practices for Avoiding a Charge of Misconduct and Irregularities in the Admission Process. Following the sessions attendees were invited to join a plenary session, An Update on the Entry-Level Legal Employment Market. After lunch attendees exited the Law School and went to Catholic University's Pryzbyla University Center for a law school and vendor fair.
Day Two closed with a reception at American University, Washington College of Law and an evening cookout at University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law.
