The Student Bar Association (SBA), the Office of Career and Professional Development (OCPD), and the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at Catholic Law hosted a celebration of the law school’s various cultural student affinity groups. A number of employers were invited by OCPD as well, to experience the supportive and connected community that Catholic Law offers.
Each student group shared dishes that were part of their culture with those in attendance, while the employers in attendance talked with students about externship opportunities. The employers in attendance also took time to visit the student group tables and sample dishes.
The evening was coordinated by Emani Johnson (3L), SBA Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion, with support from OCPD, the Office of Development and Alumni Relations, and the leaders of the various student affinity groups. The evening’s event not only allowed students to network with potential employers, but also allowed them—alongside faculty, staff, alumni, and the employers themselves—to appreciate the various cultural groups that form the Catholic Law community.
