The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law (Catholic Law) is proud to announce that Kali Fields (2L) was selected by the D.C. Bar as one of its 2023-2024 Karen Hastie Williams Leadership Fellows. In 2022-2023 Catholic Law student Tynekia Garrett (4E) was selected as a Fellow.
Established in 2020, the D.C. Bar Law Student Community’s Leadership Fellowship was renamed in 2021 in honor of groundbreaking attorney and catholic Law alumna from the Class of 1973 Karen Hastie Williams. Williams served as the first African American law clerk for the U.S. Supreme Court and first female and African American partner at Crowell & Moring.
Kali shared, "I am so excited to have been selected to serve as a DC Bar Karen Hastie Williams Leadership Fellow! I will be working with the DC Affairs Community Committee by attending regular meetings and completing a capstone project. This is an amazing opportunity to learn from leading attorneys in the DC government and affairs field. I look forward to strengthening my leadership skills and serving the DC community."
