On December 4, 2023, law students took a much-needed study break, coming together in the Law School’s student lounge for the 30th Annual Pancake Supper. This year’s supper featured breakfast favorites served by some of the students' favorite professors, deans, and administrators, all of whom volunteered as servers for the evening.
This year’s group of volunteers included:
- Monica Allston, Associate Director of Career and Professional Development
- Shani Butts, Assistant Dean for Admissions, Financial Aid, and Diversity Officer
- Katie Crowley, Associate Dean for Administration & Chief of Staff
- Julie Dietrich, Assistant Dean for Career and Professional Development
- Gemma Forest, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Dean of Students for the Upper-Division
- Odalys Fuentes, Manager of Legal Recruitment
- Assistant Professor William Kamin
- Elizabeth Kirk, Lecturer and Director of Center for Law and the Human Person
- Mary Graw Leary, Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs
- Bryan McDermott, Assistant Dean for Academic and Bar Support
- Professor Veryl Miles
- Susan Newell, Assistant Dean for Admissions and Dean of Students for First-Year Students
- Stuart Schept, Senior Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Registrar
- Professor Lucia Silecchia, Associate Dean of Faculty Research
- Renee Stack, Event Coordinator
Students were excited to take a brief break from the stress of law school and finals to enjoy the event which began in 1994—the year the law school building was dedicated. The Annual Pancake Supper is a cherished tradition that marks the end of the fall semester at the Columbus School of Law and is a simple reminder of the supportive community at Catholic Law.
