On January 11, 2023, Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced that Todd B. Tatelman '03, the current Principal Deputy General Counsel in the House’s Office of General Counsel, will be taking over as the acting General Counsel of the United States House of Representatives.

Todd Tatelman has worked in the Office of General Counsel since November 2011 and previously served at the Congressional Research Service as a Legislative Attorney. He holds a law degree, with honors, from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law.
