Professor Marshall Breger was quoted in the article "Kamala Harris plays liaison to young U.S. voters, including on Israel," which was published in NIKKEI Asia on January 9, 2024. The article discussed U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris and the situation in Gaza, with a focus on how Harris is reaching out to progressive Democrats unhappy with President Biden's approach to the Israel-Gaza conflict. In the article Breger noted that "There is no doubt that Kamala Harris is the link, the connection to the more progressive wing." Breger further pointed out that "She has come into her own in the last two months, by coming out very strongly on abortion and very strongly on Republican race-baiting,"... "And as part of that, she is being a bit more responsive on the Palestinian issue."
