Judge Chad A. Readler and William LeviThe Federalist Society (FedSoc) at The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law (Catholic Law) hosted Judge Chad A. Readler of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and William Levi, partner at Sidley Austin LLP, on Wednesday, March 6, to discuss job opportunities and career paths at the Department of Justice (DOJ). Judge Readler and Levi, both of whom worked at DOJ during the Trump administration, relayed their respective career trajectories—and how they ultimately found themselves at the DOJ—and offered attendees a snapshot of its workplace culture. Those in attendance were able to ask questions following the discussion. Judge Readler also met with a smaller group of FedSoc student leaders over coffee before the talk.

Wednesday’s event was not Judge Readler’s first involvement with the Catholic Law community. He recently served as a workshop instructor at the 2024 Judicial Clerkship Opinion Writing Conference (JCOW). More information about JCOW is available here.
