Roger Colinvaux, professor at The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law (Catholic Law), recently delivered three presentations— two on Friday, January 19, at a
conference sponsored by the American Bar Association Section of Taxation in San Francisco, and another in Washington, D.C., at the TEGE Exempt Organizations Council’s
March 8 meeting. Two of Colinvaux’s presentations related to newly proposed Treasury regulations on donor advised funds, which have now garnered more than 170 comments as part of the notice and comment process. Colinvaux’s writing and analysis on DAFs was quoted by both
Politico and
Bloomberg news; these are available for viewing through Catholic Law’s website. Colinvaux’s other presentation concerned the influence of the wealthy on philanthropy and whether existing rules are sufficient to continue to incentivize charitable giving.
