On February 28, 2024, The Catholic University of America hosted its annual Staff Excellence Awards Ceremony in honor of the meritorious contributions staff have made to the life of the school. From among a university-wide group of staff and administrators, Natalie Pucillo, Academic Services Coordinator in the Law School's Office of Academic Affairs, was selected for the University's Young Cardinal Award.
Natalie began working at the Law School in the Office of Student Life and Special and Special Events during her time as an undergraduate student. Upon graduating in 2019, Natalie was recruited to join the Law School as a full-time staff member based partly on her stellar reputation as a student worker. Natalie's colleague, Stuart Schept, Senior Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Registrar, noted that Natalie's dedication to the University, the Law School, law students, alumni, faculty, and fellow staff members is exemplary. "Natalie exhibits skills, professionalism, savvy, attention to detail, great communication, and understanding of a large range of technical and non-technical issues, which belie her relatively few years of work experience," said Schept.
The Young Cardinal Award is presented to a staff member aged 30 or younger who has worked at Catholic University for less than ten years and has exhibited excellent performance that shows promise of future growth in his or her field. This individual exemplifies professionalism and has made significant contributions to Catholic University.
The Staff Excellence Awards are organized by Catholic University's CommUnity Committee, whose Co-Chairs, Professor Jennifer Paxton and Emily Sobieski, presented the award to Natalie. (photo above)
