Kayla Bushey (3L), President of the Law and Technology Student Association (LTSA), spearheaded an initiative for LTSA members with active FCBA (Federal Communications Bar Association) memberships to participate in a recent reception. The event, attended by a significant number of LTSA members enrolled in Catholic Law's Telecommunications and Law Practicum course taught by alumni Patrick Halley '10 and Justin Faulb '08, provided a valuable networking opportunity for students within the telecommunications and law sphere.
The reception proved to be a memorable evening for attendees, offering them the chance to engage with prominent figures such as Commissioners Gomez, Carr '05, Starks, and Simington. Furthermore, attendees had the opportunity to reconnect with previous speakers and fellow FCBA members, fostering meaningful connections within the industry.
Many LTSA members have actively participated in various FCBA events, including the Charity Auction, Chairwoman’s Dinner, and Young Lawyers Committee (YLC) happy hours, showcasing their dedication to involvement within the FCBA community. Through the guidance and support of Patrick, Justin, and Catholic Law alumni, students representing Catholic Law have forged numerous connections with industry leaders, further establishing the institution's presence within the legal and telecommunications sectors.
The Law and Technology Institute is committed to providing its students with a myriad of opportunities for professional development and networking within the fields of communications law, information privacy and intellectual property.
