A recent Politico article cited Catholic Law in two independent and significant references. The piece examines Justice Amy Coney Barrett's position on philosophical debates among the court’s supermajority currently before the Supreme Court of the United States. Professor Jennifer Mascott was among several legal experts quoted, noting how Justice Barrett and others on the court may be shifting their interpretation of the role of 'history and tradition' in their jurisprudence. The article also references Justice Barrett's visit to Catholic Law in September 2023 at the invitation of the school's Project on Constitutional Originalism and the Catholic Intellectual Tradition.
