Christian Foundations of Human Rights and Religious Freedom panel at OAS on October 21, 2024
William L. Saunders from Catholic Law participated in a panel discussion on the Christian foundations of human rights and religious freedom during the Celebrating International Religious Freedom Day Dialogue at the Organization of American States (OAS). The event centered on the theme of Religious Freedom as a cornerstone of Human Rights and the Common Good. Notably, it featured the Holy See's first-ever briefing at the OAS, with Msgr. Juan Antonio Cruz Serrano, the Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the OAS, opening and concluding the proceedings. William Saunders serves as the Co-Director of the Center for Religious Liberty and directs the Program in Human Rights at the Institute for Human Ecology at The Catholic University of America.
