Christopher Ross, Clinical Assistant Professor of Law and Managing Director, Columbus Community Legal Services, at Catholic Law participated in the Externships 12 conference organized by the New England Externship Consortium at the Boston University School of Law. His panel, titled "Agile Externships: Creative Strategies for Developing and Teaching Externships for Part-Time Students," focused on approaches externship programs could take to be more accessible to part-time students at U.S. law. Ross—who was a part-time law student himself—discussed the potential for online, asynchronous courses, such as Catholic Law's "Becoming a Lawyer" class, to make externships more meaningful for part-time students. Together with his fellow panelists, he facilitated discussions among externship clinicians on optimizing their programs to benefit part-time students. Professor Catherine Klein, Director of Columbus Community Legal Services, and Professor Emeritus Leah Wortham also attended the conference.
