From L to R: Owen Salyers, Taylor Abshire, and Lance Bean

On November 11, Catholic Law hosted a discussion featuring three recent graduates: Owen Salyers '22, Taylor Abshire '24, and Lance Bean '24. They shared their experiences regarding externships, finals, bar preparation, and post-graduation employment opportunities. Each emphasized the importance of maintaining connections with the law school's Office of Career and Professional Development (OCPD) and utilizing various alumni networks during their externship and job searches. They underscored the necessity of pacing their study efforts for the bar exam and praised Dean McDermott's summer bar prep program as particularly advantageous when combined with their commercial bar prep. They also valued the camaraderie and the lunches provided during the program. This event was organized by the First Generation Law Students Union, Phi Alpha Delta, and OCPD.
