• Best Brief - A vibrant and well-prepared Securities Law Program National Moot Court team triumphed over 22 other law school teams to rise to the final rounds, along with seven other teams, at the Forty-First Annual Irving R. Kaufman Memorial Securities Law Moot Court Competition held in New York City.

• "Perfect Score" Award, Rebecca Neville, Golden Gate University's In Vino Veritas Mock Trial Competition, San Francisco, CA

2014

• 1st Place - 7th Annual John L. Costello Criminal Law Trial Advocacy Competition, held at the Fairfax County Judicial Center in Fairfax, VA. The three-member Columbus School of Law squad prevailed among the 32 teams in the competition, ultimately besting The University of Texas in the final round.
• 3rd Place - 3rd Annual Health Law Regulatory and Compliance Competition, held at the University Of Maryland Francis King Carey School Of Law. The 12-team competition required analysis of a “fact pattern” using federal health regulations, rules, and agency documents to present a legal/policy solution to a panel of regulatory and compliance attorneys.

2013

• Winner - 2013 Selma Moidel Smith Law Student Writing Competition, sponsored by the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL). Evening division student Amy Kokot's paper, "Prosecutorial Indiscretion: District Attorneys' Misuse of Alabama's Chemical Endangerment Law to Criminalize Pregnant Women's Substance Abuse" was called “exceptional” by judges.
• 1st Place - Pacific McGeorge 7th National Ethics Trial Competition. The four-member CUA Law team finished first among a field of sixteen highly ranked advocacy schools, besting Fordham Law School in the final round.
• 1st Place, Top Oralist Honors – Preliminary moot, Shanghai, China, in preparation for the 10th annual Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Hong Kong. CUA Law ranked first in the four general rounds, with all four team members placing among the top oralists.
• Best Brief, Runner Up - Irving R. Kaufman Memorial Moot Court Competition, held in New York City. A trio of Catholic University Securities Law Program certificate students reached the semifinals, outscoring 25 of the 27 teams. The CUA Law team was awarded overall “Best Brief” in the competition.
• Win, Place, Show - The 10 members of Catholic University’s International Arbitration Team turned in a stellar performance during the 2012-13 academic year, posting consistently outstanding results during oral arguments staged around the world.

2012 

• Win, Place, Trophy – Here is a summary of the performance of Catholic University’s international arbitration team in competitions in Germany, Asia, and Eastern Europe. The team competed in more than 30 matches in six international competitions.
• 2nd Place - Irving R. Kaufman Memorial Moot Court Competition, widely considered the premier securities moot in the nation. Three Catholic University law students placed second overall among 28 teams. The event provides the opportunity to test appellate advocacy skills before leading jurists, securities regulators, academics, and practitioners.
• Semifinal Round - Pacific McGeorge Sixth National Ethics Trial Competition, held at the United States Courthouse in Sacramento, CA. Four CUA Law school students argued their way to the semifinal round. Sixteen law schools participated in the competition, including some of the leading trial advocacy schools in the nation.
• Place and Show - Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court. Competing for the first time, two CUA Law students finished fourth out of 42 teams in the general phase of the competition, which was held at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany.

2011

• Best Advocate - William W. Daniel National Invitational Mock Trial Competition, held in Atlanta, GA. 3L Chris Hall was selected as Best Overall Advocate among 72 competitors.
• Best Opening and Closing Arguments - Two CUA Law students won individual honors in different national trial competitions sponsored by the American Bar Association’s Criminal Justice Section. 3L James Germano was recognized with the Best Closing Argument Award at the Puerto Rico Trial Advocacy Competition. Jessica Missios was recognized with the Best Opening Statement at the 11th Annual Criminal Justice Trial Advocacy Competition, hosted by Quinnipiac University School of Law.
• Best Brief - Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition, held at the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. A four-member CUA Law team tied for Best Brief at the Eastern Regional of the competition.
• Award Winning Writer – 3L Tim Canney was among only 15 law students nationwide selected to receive a Distinguished Legal Writing Award from the Burton Foundation. The program was established to reward effective legal writing. It honors practitioners and law school students who use plain, clear, and concise language and avoid archaic, stilted legalese.
• Finalist - John L. Costello National Criminal Law Trial Advocacy Competition, Fairfax, VA. The CUA Law team reached the final round among a field of 24 teams from around the country.
• Semifinalist – 36th Annual Irving Kaufman Memorial Securities Law Moot Court competition, held at Fordham Law School. A three-student team from CUA Law bested 19 other teams to reach the semifinal rounds.
• Semifinalist - National Telecommunications Moot Court Competition, hosted at Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law. The two-member CUA Law team reached the semifinal round among a field of nine law schools from across the country.
