Christopher Wright has served as an adjunct professor at The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law since 2019 where he teaches on the Taxation of Wealth Transfers and Estate Planning. Mr. Wright is one of the founding partners of Shannon & Wright LLP in Alexandria Virginia where he leads the firm’s robust Estate & Trust and Tax practices.
Mr. Wright represents both individuals and business owners in the areas of Tax Planning and Tax Compliance, Planning & Transactions; Wealth Planning; Estate & Trust Administration, and complex Business Transactions. As both an attorney and Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Wright brings unique insight to his practice of law with over twenty years’ experience in corporate finance and accounting.
Mr. Wright is licensed to practice in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. He earned his undergraduate degree from East Carolina University and his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. His accolades include recognitions from SuperLawyers, Virginia’s Legal Elite, and Arlington Magazine, in addition to the Donald F. Mela Distinguished Service Award and the Harry L. Carrico Pro Bono Award.
