Ms. Schenker is Deputy General Counsel for the American Hospital Association, where she advances legal advocacy efforts in support of the health of individuals and communities nationwide. Previously, Ms. Schenker was Chief Counsel for Business Litigation and Operations at the University of Maryland Medical System. Prior to that, Ms. Schenker was a litigation associate with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where her practice focused on health care enforcement and compliance matters, other white collar defense and investigations, and related litigation.

She has represented health care provider clients in investigations by and related litigation with the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General, and state Attorneys General involving a range of theories including the False Claims Act and anti-inducement laws, HIPAA and data privacy, and price transparency and consumer protection.
