The Project on Administrative Agency Structure (PAAS), which is a subcomponent of the Separation of Powers Institute (SPI), fosters and promotes scholarship exploring structural questions that arise in administrative law. This includes a focus on congressional delegations of authority to administrative agencies, the mechanics of agency adjudications and rulemakings, the proper role of courts in the interpretation of federal statutes, and political accountability for administrative decisionmaking. In exploring those topics, among others, PAAS intends to host speaker events, promote new scholarship through roundtables, and interview scholars on a forthcoming podcast.
Professor Chad Squitieri serves as the Fellow and Director of PAAS.
