Catholic Law and outside entities provide scholarships and stipends for students pursuing public interest work. Participation in LPP is a positive factor in scholarship applications because it shows a commitment to public service.

In addition, the Eleanore Dulin and James Clanton Haynes Memorial Scholarship is awarded each year to one or more graduating students in the Law and Public Policy Program.

Established in 1985, the Dulin-Haynes scholarship was endowed by Maurine Stuart Dulin and William Carter Dulin, Ph.D., in memory of Eleanore Dulin and her husband James Clanton Haynes, Esq. Mr. Haynes was a 1934 graduate of the Columbus University School of Law, which later merged with the Catholic University Law School. Mr. Haynes served for many years as a federal administrative law judge.

The Dulin-Haynes scholarship is awarded each year to one or more outstanding LPP students in their final year of law school to help support the transition to work in the public interest field. The award, generally in the range of a few thousand dollars, is made on the basis of a student's commitment to a career in public service, academic and professional achievement during law school, including performance in LPP course work, and contribution to the Law and Public Policy Program.
