Catholic Law Alumna Ellen Rattigan Jessen ’90 has been appointed by New Mexico Governor Lujan Grisham to the bench as a judge for the Twelfth Judicial District Court. Jessen will be sworn in on Monday, July 20, 2020.

Judicial selections for the state of New Mexico are conducted through the Judicial Nominating Commission, a board comprised of New Mexico Judges, attorneys, and citizens. The Twelfth Judicial District Court Nominating Commission convened on June 11, 2020, to evaluate candidates before making their recommendations to Governor Lujan Grisham.
