Catholic Law was among several Washington, D.C., law schools featured in the September/October issue of Washington Lawyer. The article, “See You Online: The New Normal in Legal Education,” describes the pivot that D.C. law schools—Catholic Law included—have had to make in wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Since March, schools have had to make significant adjustments to the way they present curriculum; implementing new programs and amplifying existing ones in order to provide a solid legal education. It was noted that Catholic Law’s response to the crisis was executed “not with a set playbook, but with mindfulness and sympathy.”
The article also highlighted student voices and the adjustments they’ve had to make on a more individual level. Garrett Tracey (3L) spoke about how practical experience has changed in efforts to ensure students get the necessary in-the-field training while keeping everyone safe.
