On October 27, 2019, the Asian Pacific Law Students Association (APLSA), Black Law Students Association (BLSA), and Latin American Law Students Association (LALSA) co-sponsored a Diversity Student Panel discussion. Those in attendance for the lunchtime event enjoyed pizza and soft drinks while enjoying the open and honest dialogue regarding the law school experience. Student panelists were Daniel Kim (3L), Julie Orlando (2E), Gilbert Orsini (3L), and John Sullivan (2L).
The panel was moderated by Jose Natera (2L), Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion for the Student Bar Association, who asked questions focusing primarily on advice about studying and preparing for in-person exams before opening the conversation up to questions from students in attendance which covered balancing preparing for finals with current classwork, accommodation requests, and feeling connected to the Catholic Law community.
