On March 13, during the law school's spring recess, alumni and students of Catholic Law's evening division gathered for a networking event at Akin in Washington, D.C. This longstanding annual event is a collaborative effort hosted and sponsored by Akin's Catholic Law alumni in partnership with the law school's Student Affairs and the Alumni & Development offices.
Stephen C. Payne, Dean and Knights of Columbus Professor of Law, warmly greeted attendees and shared updates about Catholic Law's plans to introduce greater flexibility for incoming part-time students who seek to balance careers and family obligations while pursuing a superb legal education. Katherine I. Heise '19, an Associate at Akin, also welcomed guests, thanking the alumni in attendance for their continued support of the evening program from which she graduated. This yearly reception underscores the tight-knit community of the evening division, showcasing its unique offerings, such as access to renowned full-time faculty, small class sizes, and curriculum and programs focused on the holistic professional development of each student.
