The team would like to take this opportunity to thank Nick D'Addio (3L) who served as their student coach, along with the following student assistant coaches: Casey Magersupp (3L), Bronson Bathras (3L), and Julia O'Toole (3L). Munro, Scanlon, and Winter also wanted to thank the following professionals who helped them prepare for the competition: Thomas Archer '23, Associate, Sidley Austin LLP; Jack Murphy, Director, Securities Law Program; George Borden, Lecturer and Partner, Williams & Connolly LLP; Margaret McGuire, Senior Special Counsel, Division of Enforcement, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission; and the Hon. Jill Konviser, (ret) Supreme Court Kings County.
The Irving R. Kaufman Memorial Securities Law Moot Court Competition is held in honor of Judge Kaufman, a Fordham alumnus who served on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit for many years, including seven years as Chief Judge. The Competition offers teams the opportunity to test appellate advocacy skills before leading jurists, securities regulators, academics, and practitioners.
